THE RELATIONSHIP
What can you say about 'the relationship' One of the most important words in counselling - in life - the relationship you have with yourself, with others and the world. In counselling the quality of the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of positive therapeutic outcomes.

THE INNER CHILD
A few examples of responses to exploration of childhood trauma.

At some point we have to look at our shadows - the parts of ourselves we want to hide from - can we observe them with curiosity - can we welcome them in with compassion.
“Everyone carries a shadow, and the less it is embodied in the individual’s conscious life, the blacker and denser it is.” Carl Jung
TRAUMA - subconscious protections
A feeling of being slightly removed from one's life and surroundings - unable to completely commit - always holding something back - the subconscious trying to protect you from potential danger and emotional pain but ultimately meaning you don't get as much from life as you could

Some emotional states can be difficult to describe with words.
Here are some examples of my own art works used to illustrate different feelings, thoughts and experiences.
